There are many ways to find maps and mods on PlanetPhillip.Com. One way is to search, but that is only useful if you know what you are looking for. Another way is to browse. This way you might find something that you wouldn’t ordinarily find interesting.

No links are provide here because they can all be found in the header menus, sidebar and sitemap.

Here are the ways to browse the site.

Single Player Maps and Mods List

Use the menu below the header image. This gives access to all the maps and mods, separated into each game. Perfect if you only own one or two games from the series.

Text Tags

Each map or mod has keywords or phrases associated with them. They help describe the type of content of the map or mod. Each tag should be self-explanatory. For more information please visit the Tags Guide.

Visual Tags

I have created a page that displays each tag as an image. Visual Tags can make it easy to find the maps and mods that contain the types of things you like. By clicking on an image you will be taken to a list of maps and mods that contain that Tag (Keyword). Not all TAGs have a visual equivalent.

Modwalls

This is a project to present maps and mods in a simple image wall. Each image is a link to the respective map or mod. Hover over each to view a tool tip that displays the map or mod name, game and publication date. The images are in chronological order, with the most recent at the top. My favourite maps and mods have a little purple icon in the bottom right hand corner to help identify them.

The modwalls are split into year, but as of February 2010 I will also be creating the mother of all modwalls, which contains ALL the thumbnails from every year. Please note that it only currently contains a few years worth of thumbnails.

Phillip’s Recommendations

For the best maps and mods I add my WOW recommendation image. These are the maps and mods that I really enjoyed. There’s no guarantee that you will enjoy them but I feel they deserve some recognition. The recommendations are split into games and years.

Readers’ Recommendations

As more and more readers add recommendations the better and more useful the system becomes. The maps and mods displayed here are the highest rated one, based on the average score. As with my recommendations they are sorted into games and years.

Hall Of Fame

The Hall Of Fame should be considered the Best of the Best maps and mods available. They are the highest rated maps and mods based on their average score for all games and all years.

Mod of the Year

These are pages where readers vote for their favourite map or mod of the year.

Most ‘Personal Favourite’ Recommendations

A simple list of the maps and mods containing the highest number of Personal Favourite recommendations.

Most Recommendations

Another simple list of the maps and mods with the most recommendations. It should be noted that some more famous mods are not here because few reader rate the older mods.

Highest Divergence

Put simply, the most controversial mods. The mods that seemed to polarize opinion.

Highest Consensus

Basically the maps and mods that had the highest level of agreement. The ones everyone liked.

Dated Archives

This is a list of all the posts on the site, including my blog and poll questions, in chronological order.
