My first thought is that generally it’s a bad idea but if mod teams like those mentioned above didn’t exist then we wouldn’t get to play games/mods in those fictional universes.

A simple map where you have to find Maria and help her escape. Rito made this map whilst being directed by his sister. Any complaints, blame her!

Jump into the portal and reach the 3 fighting Striders. What else can I tell you? The first and only speech is in Russian but you don’t really need to know what he says. Just run, think, shoot and kill!

This little map is the result of a challenge I gave Dylan when he said he was bored. It’s amazing what you can do with two hours!

Not another rant, but more of an introspection. Nearly 4 years ago I wrote a piece called Location, Location, Location in which I shared my thoughts about the locations used in Half-Life 2.

I’ve been a vocal opponent of Episodes almost from the beginning. I don’t like them and feel they have stifled the modding community by making modders unsure which engine they should make the mod for.

The pack contains Black Mesa style environments, outdoor areas, driving sections and plenty of action. Without giving away any spoilers, the last map contains an innovative use of a trainyard.
