- Please note that these are publication date on this site, NOT the actual release date of the maps and mods
This release contains both parts but also allows you to start from the end of part 1. The Combine have destroyed the listening outpost and you managed to escape in to the tunnel, but don’t think you can just drive away, oh no!
You must help your fellow rebels out before you can put your feet up and have a cup of tea.
Plenty of beautiful views and deadly action.
This post should help get some of those mods that stopped working with the recent Half-Life 2 and Episode One update, working again.
Fingers crossed.

Hashima Island is one among 505 uninhabited islands in the Nagasaki Prefecture about 15 kilometers from Nagasaki itself. The island was populated from 1887 to 1974 as a coal mining facility. The island’s most notable features are the abandoned concrete buildings and the sea wall surrounding it.

Blackness fades to a cliff scene…. Don’t let the beautiful view fool you, things are about to get pretty ugly!
Work your way through a small group of buildings and into an underground Combine base.
Can you escape after stealing a sample from near the thumpers (That’s a clue if you get stuck)?

You start on a space station in the Gamma sector, you suddenly find yourself under attack and need to escape. Fortunately, there is an escape pod.
Unfortunately, you get picked up by the military and your quest to escape begins again!

In the HunterVille mapping competition, one of the “Honourable Mentions” starts without a weapon. Unfortunately I didn´t find the crowbar the author placed near the beginning, so I had to struggle through until I found another one (It was right next to me, so it was completely my fault!)
At the beginning I was incredibly frustrated, but that frustration turned to motivation quite quickly. I knew I must have missed something but I wanted to see if I could still finish the map.

I have basically copied all the replies from a forum thread started by JM Kasperg, a well-known modder.
Essentially, the latest update from Valve, has caused some mods to stop working. It’s the same for some mods in development. His original post explains things.

Here are all the entries for my HunterVille mapping competition. I would like to thank everybody who entered.
I consider it a HUGE success and as you will see when you play the maps, the quality and ideas were truly amazing. I had real trouble picking a winner and I suppose in many ways, that’s a great position to be in. I feel some pride in thinking that my competition has encouraged the mappers to make and release these maps.

As much as I follow any other game, I have been following Brink. It’s not exactly my style of game but the details are incredible.
The Container City is a complete dream for me and if there is a proper SP version then I may even buy it just for that, once it comes down in price of course!

Jasper posted this on the forum and having way through watching the first part I knew I must post it for all to see. It’s a machinima like no other I have ever seen. I sat riveted to both parts for the full length.
This is a superb creation and I salute the author(s).
Enjoy!

I wish I were more observant because I might have noticed this sooner.
Jasper emailed me to tell me that he was watching his partner, known as Scraps on PP, play Strider Mountain. She changed weapons from the AR2, which had 1 shot left, to another weapon. he suggested that she reload the AR2 because she will need it.

I have to admit I am pretty lazy when it comes to weapon selection.
Generally use what I have in my hand unless it’s against Worker antlions, then I try and use the shotgun, just for the splatter effect.

“Players gain a new ability to toggle between two worlds in order to activate a missile launch vital to the resistance effort. The world of the living is warm, dusty, partially destroyed, and crawling with headcrabs. The ghost world represents the past. Structures destroyed in the living world appear intact in the ghost world. It is also bitter cold in the ghost world. Gordon only hears the sound of his breath, and the cries of the ghosts that reside there.”

The gods are back and they are looking for a fight.
Abstract
A multiplayer mod concept, with loose historical references and a novel way of managing respawning
Over 3000 years ago Zeus and the other Gods caused the death of thousands of warriors in a siege of Troy.
The year is 2879 and New Troy is once again the site of pure carnage.

As with all my “What would Freeman…”, the question relates to BEFORE the Black Mesa incident.
Let’s see if we can get a sort of consensus of his character.
This question relates to what would happen if Freeman had won the lottery. And when I say “won” I mean a BIG win, at least 20 million Dollars.

Up until now all the real themes posts have been about man-made things; tunnels dams etc. This one is both natural and beautiful. It’s an underground “river” in Mexico. I say “river” because it’s different layers of fresh and salty water and hydrogen sulphide.
