  1. Phillip says Play It!

I loved this little map. It was complex enough to make me ponder for a little while but not so complex as to stump me.

It more or less followed my 80/20 rule for Portal mods and had no difficult jumps involved.

After watching the second video embedded above I was kicking myself for not working it out earlier.

One silly little challenge: Can you reach the place in my thumbnail? It’s not photoshopped.

Go play this and have some head-scratching fun for 15 minutes.

  2. Play It Now!

Good to finally see a map for Portal 2 that looks unusual.

The puzzle solving has many a little annoying moments, like disappearance of blue paint from light bridges after loading a saved game, necessity of few tries in order to get through the portal from the room with laser emitter to the room with laser receiver, possibility to accidentally fall on a jump pad and fly to the acid, impossibility to enter the portal from the lower room if you don’t have the cube.

But overall, worth playing: finally an unusual style, and so beautiful and festive. And good ambient sounds, modified voice which became scary. And the moment when you notice that something is missing and then find the room with laser emitter.

What can i say about this ?

Perfect contrast of using Orange and Blue textures.
Enviromental structure and ambiance is perfect for my style.
The elevator videos are innovative in a way , i liked them.
The scare was a nice touch.
And i also found the secret.

On the bad side is only one thing about this entier map
It took me some time to figure out from where do i get the laser.
Later it was only cause i was being stupid , but all in all this is a perfect map.

    5/5

  4. Play It Now!

I have to admit it, altough i’m not a big fan of portal maps, this is a fun little cool map.

Altough it takes a while to know what to do and how, i’d say a 80-20 rule maybe 70-30 rule, which is still acceptable, is great when u reach the end just by ur own, i did it, with no need of walktrough or anything and it feels really good.

The spooky moment is perfect and i bet u will never know when is going to happen (it scared me a little and i almost jumpo out of my seat haha) so i loved that different touch on this map, which makes it stand out from the other regular and very classic portal styled mods. well maybe the core it has its own enviroment too but this spooky moment adds a little bit of spicey flavor in portal stuff and i liked that.

  5. I just found this on a google search and wanted to give a big thanks to Phillip for uploading here, getting reviews, and crediting me for it. Thanks.
