Beach Level has three parts, each focusing on a different style of play. The first part is Reconnaissance, where the player lands on the beach and explores the area, searching for the entrance to the base. This part focuses heavily puzzles and exploration. The second part is Combat, where the player must fight his through the base. This part focuses heavily on combat. The third part is Escape, where the player must make his grand escape after successfully making his way through the base.

[...] Aftermath [...]

This is a pretty good level that also looks nice too. Some exploring, some fighting and some sightseeing.
SPOILERS BELOW
The ending is a little silly with the cabin sliding down the sand and not being able to shot the helicopter is frustrating.
The only serious issue I have is with the text instructions. It took all the fun away from doing it myself. I believe the author went too far this time. I almost expected to see something like “Shot the Combine soldier”.
Anyway, but than a lot of the stuff I’ve played lately. It’s short but fairly sweet.

It’s always a welcome relief to see a new file for HL2. I love it when I go to the file page and there’s a new map or mod for HL2. Makes my day and then some.
I had some fun with this one mainly because I like to see how to exploit stuff. Maybe with any luck, I’ll come back as a game tester in my next life. Anyone not wanting to know those SPOILERS, stop reading now.
Instead of going through the correct path at the end of the pier to open the gate, I just piled up a bunch of the boxes in the map and jumped over the balcony LOL If there weren’t so many boxes, I couldn’t have done it. Once over the balcony, I beat the map a few different ways just for fun. You can throw an exploding barrel over the rail and take it to the first gate encounter that way too.
Also, from the pier, you can shoot the exploding barrel on the other side of the wall and smash it open early. Maybe a zone or just another layer of bricks would have prevented that.
Thanks much for a great lil map.
Keep ‘em coming!

I sometimes wonder if I’ve played the same map as other commenters….This was nice, but a bit short, a bit predictable, and didn’t seem to have anything new by way of layout or game-play ideas. Still, in spite of a little stuttering, not much, but a bit, it was worth the effort, and as it didn’t take especially long to play gets a PIN instead of a PIL…
I have to say I do look forward to seeing what the author comes up with next, if this is anything to go by, it could well be proper “quality.”
This isn’t right up there though, but is still better than I could do…….G’wan, give it a whirl….:)

I liked it but it was nothing really new or very interesting. It ran without errors but it was over real fast. It needed some puzzles or any other kind of a challenge. For me it was just so-so. If the author can make the next one alot longer and have more action it would be really good because he’s a good map maker.

Nothing special and being way too short, what is here is well done with sets and textures more then acceptable. It just is not long enough to develop into any thing resembling a game, being no more then a possible level 1 to something more with depth. However, there is nothing stopping you playing through for a few minutes of fun; just don’t expect to be extending your skills that far.

It was fun while it lasted, but as the other comments say, there isnt anything new and its way too short. It felt like playing lost coast
Really good job though

This was fun mod. Limited weapons/ammo (at least at first) made me play slightly differently than I might have otherwise. But it’s good for me to try different weapons.
When I heard the chopper I wanted an RPG, but I run just fine.
