[...] Big Explosion Theory [...]

Not as good as the author’s most recent release but still quite good. The beginning is very hard, especially if you hate stealth gameplay, like I do. HINT: Crouch as soon as you can once you enter the grate in the roof.
The level joins were a little weird and some rebels seemed to appear from nowhere but that said at least it made you focus on your surroundings.
The use of cutscenes was just about right but the ending could have been a little more dramatic.
Worth playing but don’t rush.

Took me about 10 tries and I nearly gave up!

The following my contain possible spoilers.
The beginning is a bit frustrating and I never see the sense in making a mod/map hard to start. Once you get going the encounters are on the tough side, so don’t go rushing-in. There’s not a great degree of detail, with progression very linear and gameplay limited to just Combine and Rebel fire-fights. I am not sure if the finish worked for me, having being asked too hit ‘E’ to explode the door, once inside your where asked to hit ‘E’ once again, this time to destroy the complex. This did not work for me and I needed to noclip the door, so saving the explosive for the final detonation, but maybe I missed or did something wrong.

Very good map, specially liked for being a combine.

I hated the beginning, too. After 3 tries I stopped for a couple days, then came back. I got a little farther, so kept going even though it probably took me 10 times to be successful.
Definitely watch where you’re going. I don’t know how many times I died in this map (not sure if I should blame the stupid Vortigaunts or the stupid player).
Very good for being short.
