I hate you. Plain and simple. I don’t care who you are, where you live, your political or religious affiliations….

Rebel Runners

Single Player First Person Shooter Maps and Mods for Half-Life 1, 2 and Episodes 1, 2 and 3

I have decide to publish an idea I have been playing with on and off for a while but now realize I have little chance of completing. I have done this in the hope that somebody with the required skills and motivation will choose to work on it. I have little doubt that there are some technical challenges that need to be solved before it can be completed but those challenges are not insurmountable.

The Message

Introduction Here is a story I have written with the idea of a mod in mind. As with most of my stories I will set the scene and then explain the thinking and planning behind it. The Message Kurban wakes to the sound that has haunted him for quite a while now. The sound of [...]

Why Me?

Introduction As with most of my mod stories I will start with the story told in fiction form and then explain the reasoning behind it and also give more details about the gameplay and twists/spoilers. A Rude Awakening All is dark and warm and quite and peaceful. Then suddenly: Noise, heat, light and movement……PAIN……nightmares!

Reflective Doppelganger

Introduction This is a story primarily designed for Gordon Freeman in Half-life, but it could work with any well-known game character. The premise is fairly simple; After you have destroyed the Nihilanth and you face the Gman who gives you that fateful choice, as you walk into the portal there is some kind of error [...]

Here’s what they have decided to do: Black Mesa: Source is a Half-Life 2 modification determined to recreate Half-Life 1 on the Source Engine from the ground up, keeping the original as much intact as it possibly [...]

The Corridor

Story Intro A suited man walks towards the security reception area, pauses at the desk while the guard checks his ID. “Morning Mr Johnson, you’re in early today”. “Yeah, got a lot of database reconfiguration to do”. He continues past the desk and towards a lift. As the doors open a female voice announces:

Am I real?

Here’s another mod story idea, this one was first conceived for Half Life, but it could be used for another game with the right theme. As with my other mod story ideas I will start by setting the scene with my crappy 50′s-style writing and then explain the basic story outline after that. The opening [...]

Repetition

Here is a mod story idea. The characters, setting and details can be changed to anything whilst still leaving the story the same. I’ve started by writing a short story to help set the scene. A man sits at a corner table in a quite bar on the edge of Fortune City. He’s waiting. He’s [...]
