Dark Truths places the player in command of Captain Hunt, member of the Black Operations division of Section Six. Taking command of her fellow Black Operators, Cap. Hunt will explore new and old sections of the Black Mesa Research Facility. However, in the end, it shall fall on her shoulders to plunge headlong into the deepest sectors of the research lab to discover the dark truth about the Resonance Cascade.

Currently, only a single-player section is planned, though this is open to change. In addition, a Source engine port will be considered when the mod reaches such a point in development.

The reason for development of this mod for the aging Half-Life engine is mainly to aid the team members. The engine is very familiar to them. Many of its limitations are well known. The age of the engine will force us to keep our wits about us, and not get caught up in experimentations.

• Most of the Opposing Force weapons and monsters
• Fully commandable Black Ops and Assassins
• True headcrabbing (hit in the head by these things and your lights go out)

• Vastly improved A.I.
• More flexible command of allies (such as in Half-Life 2 or Freedom Fighters)
