  1. Phillip says Play It!

This is not set in the usual HL2 universe but in a mansion. The first time I played this I rushed and missed some information and weapons. My advice is to go slow and sure. There are some missing textures but it didn’t really spoil the map for me.

Overall, not a bad little map, definitely worth paying at some point.

  2. Play It Now!

What is causing the purple checks? I don’t understand “missing textures” I thought it was something with my video board!! Other than that the map played very well for me! Wasn’t too hard to figure out!! :-)

  3. That is I believe missing models/resource/materials or all of em.I cant remember off hand but fixed it in another mod by adding a folder and files with proper stuff.Usually occurs when the mod maker has call signs to models etc that are out of range for your own HL setup. ie:on a D: drive say for example but I could be blowin smoke out my butt as I really don’t know.

  4. I made an amazing discovery, after Steam was done with a large update to HL2 E2, I dropped the map Terror2 into the HL2 E2 map folder, and it ran real good no purple checks or other defects!! Everything looked good and the colors looked brighter! Try it and see, it worked for me! (geeez, I’m a poet and don’t know it!) ;-)

  5. You are right AI. All the missing textures were replaced with working ones, although I can’t say I noticed the brighter colors. One thing that stopped working was Gman. He fell back into the default cross position and the engine couldn’t find the sitting position for him. I also found a room that I don’t remember seeing first time trough. The room with the furniture on the ceiling.

  6. Play It Later

Took me a bit to find the basement latch/switch.Kinda short and the ending seemed rather abrupt.

  7. Maybe?

I suppose it might be a really good map. I don’t really like this kind of atmosphere, though, so the missing textures bothered me more than they might have otherwise.

  8. Think Twice

I think i got it, but i dont get it. flaws (purple checks, upside down room ) aside i found the clues and the “hidden” entry. was that it? i will go back for a replay but it took all of 4 minutes for this.
