Escape from a Prisoner of War Castle - Return To Castle Wolfenstein

Did I miss something? The story description above says: “… you realize the danger you are in as the Allies are launching their final strikes on the island. Quickly, you must decide whether or not to rescue a prisoner friend and help him on his own quest to rescue a friend of his own before the window to safety closes.”
When outside I didn’t realize anything about an attack by the Allies. Nor was there an imprisoned friend. OK, actually there is a special prison cell. There’s a plate with food inside (you can see it through the bars) and the cell’s window can be bombed with dynamite from the outside to gain access, but there’s nobody in that cell. Anyway, the map is brilliant. The building was modeled by somebody who knew what he was doing. Nice details, no flaws - overall a perfect example of map building skills. Unfortunately there isn’t much of an action. A dozen enemies, loosely distributed all over the map. Two of them appear from nowhere at places you already checked before. Lots of fixed machine guns that are useless to the player (besides one). And there was no exit or end. After having cleared the map I waited and walked around but nothing happened. Probably the author wanted to keep on working on that map but then decided to abandon it. That’s the real pity with this map.

The outdoor area is simply beautiful, albeit the indoor sections are not that good and feature numerous errors. Lacks an exit and proper gameplay. Clearly this is an incomplete map - however, it’s still worth a look owing to its good brushwork.
