		<description>The mod has some things going for it, the custom weapons, custom grunts with desert camo, and one that had a sugegasa (bamboo hat), custom snow grunts and some unique locals.

But unfortunately its not enough to save it from the invisible wall syndrome. Many places that seem like you can go, you can&#039;t... alot of the time for no real reason. Like when you go down a stair way thats broken on the end, you can&#039;t even jump to your death.
A place where there was a a fairly large broken hole in the wall, you couldn&#039;t get through. Yet another obscure part of the wall that had a smaller hole, somehow the game had expected you to know that you had to hit it with your knife to make it a bigger hole... WHAT ABOUT THE OTHER NOTICEABLY LARGER HOLE?
Even regular snow terrain is difficult to move over because there seems to be invisible walls all around it.

But if that isn&#039;t annoying enough the game also has divergent paths that go to dead ends, meaning that you also have to backtrack regularly. This is a big no-no. Valve didn&#039;t put any backtracking in their game because backtracking is padding, artificial difficulty and makes the game tedious faster than anything else. Anyone who did not learn that lesson from valve shouldn&#039;t be making mods.

Another part that&#039;s close to the beginning of the game is where you had to randomly find a invisible ladder to climb up that made the game just a tad more frustrating then it already is.

There where some good ideas though, the voice acting was a nice touch that I actually liked (even though it didn&#039;t fit the mood that the name of the mod seemed to suggest), a more serious tone would have been fitting. Silent protagonists are the lamest things in games IMO.
I would not recommend this mod. Only because a patch never came.</description>

		<description>Its a shame this mod isnt more popular, It was excellent in my opinion. Fair Length, good level design, VERY balanced, and brand new models/textures/weapons, etc is always a good thing. It looks great, props to the etfd team for not using Dark Laboratory corridors all the time. I wasnt too powerful (cough Dopusk) or too fragile (Invasion). My only complaints were that the game was too short, and aliens were rather downplayed in comparison to Human Grunts. I also recommend this to people who are tired of the black mesa setting, because this game has done it justice.</description>

This mod is a little bit above average due to new weapons, new enemy outfit, interesting puzzles and no endless corridors but has a few weak points.

I got stuck very often between rocks or in other corners and had to use noclip. I hate noclip.
 
The force jump does not work as we are used to. Especially climbing out of the water does not work accurately.

Enemies can sometimes not be seen or you can only guess where they are from the hail of bullets.The one lying in the corner in the sewers shortly before the final, at least I was not able to shoot the corpse which kept on firing. 

Try it.















































 Half-Life veteran. The force jump works not as we are used to. Especially climbing out of the water does not work accurately whatever equipment you use.</description>

Lots of new weapons with different ammo, sounds and effects. Great drum n bass music, plenty of cut scenes with voice over.

The tendency to get stuck between brushes is a minor glitch and the only negative in this beautifully made mod. Runs fine on modern machinery. 99/100

This mod is a much improved and much extended version of Darkforce for HL1 by the same author.

		<description>Goddess, I walked around those pipes 2-3 times with and without the flashlight and couldn&#039;t see a thing, but finally found the hole in the 2nd pipe. Even with light it&#039;s hard to see. I enjoyed thi playing this mod till the encounter. I know I died time and time again till I found a spot to stand and deplete my ammo till the final scene. Didn&#039;t like the ending, but over all the game was enjoyable. Thanks again. By the way, noticed the time stamp on posts. I&#039;m 7 hrs. behind you in Central Time Zone. Your&#039;s is where?</description>

		<description>Ok, Ijust played this mod for the second time now I&#039;m stuck in the same place. After jumping from the blown out bridge, following the tunnel thru a desert area, Looks to be a wide trench winding to the left with a tank on a small bridge above with two soldiers below. When getting to the end of the path, a red building on the right, dark (warehouse) inside w/2 soldiers inside and a big red door. There&#039;s a rickitty walkway behind the building that leads to 2 vertical pipes. The security door inside does not open. Is this the end of the mod ore did I screw up somewhere. Help please.</description>

Every time I tried that, I always got stuck in the side of the rock.  Of course, it didn&#039;t surprise me because you get stuck in a lot of things.  Either way works really.  Just depends on how much health you have &amp; want to spare.  For me, jumping was my only option.</description>
