Single Player First Person Shooter Maps and Mods for Half-Life 1, 2 and Episodes 1, 2 and 3

Introduction

Here are the saves for Half-Life 2. With Half-Life 2 you can simply load one of the save points from the file and then adjust the difficulty setting to you requirements. All the saves were created without cheats. A detailed read me is included with the file. Enjoy!

Difficulty Note

Save City

Save City is a project that aims to collect saved games for as many different difficulty settings for as many different SP FPS games as possible. Everybody can contribute to the collection by sending their saved games to PlanetPhillip.

A little problem with the difficulties is that player’s can change it ingame which makes have 3 seperate difficulty saves for HL2 (and HL2 related) not really needed. Players can get a save game for easy - say, Nova Prospeckt - and set it to hard once loaded in options.

Maybe not for you, but other people want it. It’s been downloaded 24 times. Which is not a large amount but if I have helped 24 people then I’m happy.

I think you should edit this post because difficulty settings dont apply to the saves for hl2, unlike most other games.

Look, I dont wanna be an ******* but when changing the difficulty inside the game to medium or hard, the game will just “pull” a config and skill.cfg file from the .gcf (cache file) and use it. So, it does not really matter to have a save for a area or not. Really. If they want a map they can write down map credits and unlock every single chapters

Ok, I’ve updated the post to include the difficulty changes.

These save points are just to make life easier for some people, let’s not get too worried about it.
