Well, tried this one out, and let me say, it is HUGE! It is indeed a race rally, with perhaps a thousand vehicles scattered around the map for you to climb in. Initially, you take a hang glider on a 5-minute flight (no exaggeration) to the starting line, where you can choose from among 20 jeeps. And from there, you just drive up, around, over all sorts of obstacles that have been placed.

I’d give it a 12 (out of 10) on the creativity scale, but a 6 for application. For example, you can’t really “race” on the map because there aren’t many straight roads; as you crest a hill, the designer has the road turn to the left (and since you can’t see in front of you, you keep going forward, and your jeep rolls off the cliff). If you manage to jump in time, you can hoof it to the bottom of the twisting road and find another jeep there to hop in.

Creatively, there are some pretty cool sets, such as a skyscraping bridge that is probably two or three miles in the air, and you have to build up enough speed to jump to another bridge slightly below it. Another huge crane has jumps for your vehicle. And again, the designer knows you’re going to crash … a lot … and has lots of replacements scattered all around for you.

Although it was pretty cool to visit, I got tired of crashing my jeep down the hill and having to walk for 5 minutes (no exaggeration) to the next vehicle. So, worth a look but not a keeper in my book. It might be somewhat interesting if there were a multi-player element with folks trying to get around each other to the end.
