About

Episode 5 in the series of Make It To Morning. A demonic infestation of Alcatraz needs cleaned up! You arrive at Alcatraz Island by boat with the shotgun and grabber. Collect additional weapons and kill all the demons infesting the prison.

Beware: when it gets dark, all hell breaks loose. You can exit at any time but your score is based upon the length of time you stay and the number of demons you face plus a bonus for making it to morning and a skill level multiplier.

Instructions:
  • Requires Doom3 version 1.3 and Resurrection of Evil expansion
  • Extract mitm5.pk4 to your Doom3/d3xp folder
  • Start Doom3 RoE, bring down the console (Ctrl+ALt+Tilde) and type map mitm5.
Performance tips:

If you find the map sluggish, try leaving some lights off. I usually play with the lighthouse and recroom lights off. Breakables cause frame rate drops. If you are really struggling for fps, trash the place before nightfall.

Gameplay tips:
  • Most Doom 3 monsters fire straight at you - learn to dodge by side-stepping or ducking.
  • Learn the best weapon for the situation e.g. shotgun is good short range, bad long range; rockets are good medium range vs walkers, bad vs fliers etc etc.
  • Avoid reloading in the middle of a fight - instead, change to another gun.
  • When there is a lull, reload all your weapons.
  • Be ruthless and efficient - kill demons promptly and you will never have too many to handle.
  • Use the BFG! That’s what its there for!
