Single Player First Person Shooter Maps and Mods for Half-Life 1, 2 and Episodes 1, 2 and 3

Another escape the prison map. This one contains large Combine architecture, with long balconies from which the Combine can attack you.

It was made for an SMC mapping competition, over 4 years ago, so take that into account when reviewing it.

  1. Phillip says Maybe

It would be nice to see more Combine Architecture in maps and mods but it must take a lot of work and imagination to get right. Unfortuantely this one doesn’t work very well.

    Visuals
The main area could have been quite nice but it was let down but the floor area. Such a tall internal building would have had a specific purpose and this just doesn’t feel right.

    Gameplay
I would have got a neckache if this had been real, well, you know what I mean. The Combine were too high, although it was fun watching them drop.

    Layout/Design
Big and boxy, which isn’t always a bad thing but here it just looks out of proportion.

    Summary
You have to remember that it’s very old in gaming terms. 5 years ago we might have been saying WOW, that was cool, but things have improved a lot since then. Even the MAybe Recommendation Image is being generous.

    5 Words Or Less Review

    This is still a baby.

  2. Think Twice

Nothing interesthing. Just a few combine textures and a few combine. Kill all of them and that’s all. There is no detail, no story, no eyecandy views. So, you don’t need to try this as long as you have a thing about killing combine.

  3. Avoid It!

Boring & no gameplay. Only for the curious.

  4. Maybe?

too short and only consisting of 2 main rooms, there was some good idea and even a personnal touch but this doesn’t really gives highlights…

  5. Maybe?

For a brutally short map, it’s pretty okay. It would have been one of ten or so encounters in a reasonably good mod, but it’s still fairly unique and not very horrible at all.

  6. Think Twice

Really short map with only two rooms.
The items are just lying on the floor and there is not much intelligent combat going on.

  7. Maybe?

Extremely short map. If it would have led to more combat areas it would have been better.

  8. Sick! Just adopted a brand-new Pearl and i is now able to read your weblog on my own phone??s browser, it didn??t train on my outdated 1.
