I really enjoyed this one. A few puzzles, a variety of combat situations and some nice level design. I particualrly enjoyed the section shown in image 12.
The A.I. semed a little strange at times with some enemies just standing still but don’t forget this was a demo, so things would have improved.
It’s a shame that this was never finished.

awesome mod.
…Is this still being worked on, I just noticed that the demo was released in 2004
11 May 2009 at 3:40 am
i dont think it likes vista, tried software mode and different settings. the 9m kills it, the m16 kills it, the desert eagle works till i run out of ammo. oh, well.maybe one day.

try direct 3D i’m also on Vista and it runs fine for me.

If this demo was released in 2004 where has it been for last 5 years?
It’s a shame it was never finished, as it stands it goes no where and far too short to have much meaningful gameplay. I am glad I did not play is back in 2004 being so full of promise I would have felt right pissed-off waiting all this time for the completed mod.
Give it a play through for old time sake.

Nostalgia isn’t what it used to be. The level design was somewhere between very good and excellent for me.
However, I found the whole thing was kinda “ordinary”.
What I’d like to see is an over-the-top retro-bizarre nod to good ole HL1 – perhaps a group of drug-crazed pipe-smoking nuns on the rampage (this is just an example – mutant giraffes would serve equally well).

NOTE! Phillip the download Link to direct download is broken. pak0.pak comes ruined, every time its downloaded. Gonna go check filefront now. Maybe that’ll work
13 May 2009 at 10:25 am
I just tested the PP direct downlaod and everything was fine for me. Did it break when you opened the file or when you tried to play it?

Download works for me.This demo is pretty good for its age.A bit confusing in places.Good for a rainy day play.
14 May 2009 at 4:17 pm

14 May 2009 at 4:23 pm
Why yes I do :p It’s raining now so I’m about to try another map

Like Philip said, it’s a real shame this wasn’t finished, but it was fun for what it was.
In this post HL2 world it’s nice to see that HL1 mods can still be really enjoyable…..

I’m actually the level designer from this mod’s dev team (you dont have to believe me but its true), I built this demo to try muster some interest from developers because my development team abandoned it for reasons I don’t fully understand.
Now that I see that people actually enjoyed it, I’m very sad we were unable to finish, I built a bunch of levels for it, including Black Mesa Hospital, Nursury, parking lots blah blah
Very glad you guys liked it and once again very sorry it was never finished, at that time (16 years old) I just didnt have the energy to try finish it myself.
