Operation Redmoon - Return to Castle Wolfenstein

The ‘Nazi Industrial Complex’ write up is for the Redmoon part 2 (found on FileFront as “Operation Redmoon 12.zip”). The write up for part 2 (Father’s Day Edition) is as follows:

MISSION 0: FIND DOCUMENTS ABOUT THE ROCKET FACTORY

Part 0: Search for information

Orders are as follows: Search in the city for anything you may find about the rocket factory location. Rumor has it that this city is haunted, old bed time stories if you ask me.

You will stay tonight at the German resistence safehouse, do not shoot civilians, and do not get drunk, remember the last secret mission what happened? There is a huge celebration going on since yesterday, Friday night. Some agents reports that there is a way to the other side of the town, search in the flood tunnels for a way to the other side of this city.
Try to stay silent, however since half town should be drunk, i would say try not to get your clothes ruined by some drunken guy.
Some agents said that the factory complex is near this city.

It is very important to gather information, eavesdrop conversations, take a peek at clipboards, anything you can. Watch out for snipers, check your weapons.

Part 1 features a small town level - you have to take care of some hidden snipers (watch out when you go around corners) and handle some very good AI opponents (fast and accurate) - I finally switched to God mode. For instance 2 enemies at a “tee” corridor would alternate coming out keeping you continuously under fire, while one of them reloaded.

Finally you accomplish all the objectives move foreward to exit and another map loads (Screenshot #2) - a corridor with non-functional doors at either end and with no possible exit.

Part 2 is not a continuation but is more like a big Laboratory than an industrial complex. You start outside and work your way inside through corridors and tunnels. Resistance is pretty heavy outside but pretty minimal inside. Again the AI is very tough - you can hunker down behind cover and the ******** will nail you in the head over and over. When you reach the exit - the “Rocket Launch” level from the original game will load - a pretty good transition.

I enjoyed both levels - exploration and combat was fun. Architecture and ambience pretty good.

This was really an enjoyable experience with lots of fun and good challenge, architecture was OK it took me arround 1hour…so my recommandation is

Even though it’s dubbed as a beta, this map is still superior to many of the finished releases out there. It has a sprawling design, feels somewhat non-linear and has enjoyable firefights. Play it.
