Description

Few details are known except that you play as a bullsquid. This is NOT Point of View! There are plenty of links to cheats, see below, to be found but none that link to the mod itself!

The cheat below, found via a web sounds very interesting:
“For infinite Acid Spit
First go to tank containing the Reaper and 3 head crabs and fire at second control panel to left with the ‘Shock gauntlets’ a scientist with a pink tie will shout “What is that thing doing it might have shorted out the whole system, get that thing back in its cage immediately!” 2 scientist will then drag you back to your cage but you should slash to stop them, now follow the signs to the morgue, you are there you will see a scientist being attacked by a reaper and a security guard trying to shoot the 3 head crabs don’t intervene as the security guard will miss all the head crabs and shoot control panel (stand well away as it will explode killing the security guard and the head crabs) then you will notice a morgue draw slightly open slash it and a dissected alien will fall out feed off of it and this will give you full health and acid armour and infinite acid spit.”

Update

It seems by general consensus that this mod is actually a hoax. I have decided to leave it here for a couple of reasons. Firstly to help anybody who is looking for it and secondly to remind myself to actually read some of the stuff I copy and paste!

I’ve heard of this one, in a PC gamer guide long ago.
I have searched the net for it for a long time, and have had no real success. I think I saw it on sale on a Russian website so it might be some dodgy mod-for-profit thing.
Or maybe it’s a Codename Gordon style Hl1 thing?

Maybe I’ll try searching again. I’ve sent an email to PlanetHalfLife asking them to post something about the Lost HAlf-Life levels, so maybe something will come of that.

I never even consider it would be anything other than an FPS!

This mod i s a hoax if you guys havent figured it out…. it was a pc play parody in reaction to the overwhelming abundance of new hl mods. Just the cheat you mention seems pretty sarcastic to me so i advise you its a hoax.

Damn! maverik is right. If Point of Origin (POO for short) doesn’t exist we should create it. At least to the point of conception.

I would like to test this also.

You should put in the cheat that is on every website though (unlimited acid spit using the security guard and headcrab) so when people start to discover this mod they wont think al ok the websites are liars.

Maveric, when this is made, make sure you put more than just two weapons (acid spit and tail whip). Put some abnormal weapons that other bullsquids normally dont have. Dont make any human guns for it though.

P.S: I am some “Beginner” plot suggester, but here you go:
You start off in the Xen Bullsquid caves (I’m not much for names ), but a few HEV scientists came to capture you and your fellow bullsquids (Yeah, yeah, you should actually kill the bullsquids, but i have an idea for a minor AI change). One of them yells “RUN!!”, and you and every bullsquid run. They all knock you down, that you are tranquillized. They take you to a facility they set up on Xen. Your fellow bullsquids wake up. You do that too. You bust your friends (And yourself) out of the cages and try to kill the scientists. Some more come and do the same as in the caves. That pink scientist comes and says the same as in the description. Your friends knock them out, and they invite you to a secret area. Later, you get to the teleportation labs, and you are teleported to Earth…

I know this might seem strange and probably a lot of people might not believe me but I came up with this ‘cheat’.There was never a mod nor was there really any intention to create one (I tried mucking about with worldcraft and was completely lost).

It all began quite some time ago, I’d say early 2000-ish, there was a site called ‘cheatportal’ which was a site I often used to get guides, hints etc. Anyways, I noticed they had a submit a cheat section, I decided to give it a whirl and see how well regulated it was. So, I came up with a seemingly elaborate and quite long winded cheat so as to feign authenticity. I chose the guise of a Half Life expansion as they seemed to be coming out in spades at the time what with Opposing Force and Gunmen Chronicles. I submitted it (initially riddled with spelling mistakes and grammatical errors) and to my amazement (the internet was very new to me then) it got onto the site and proceeded to stick around.

A few months after I checked up on it to see if it was still there and was impressed in a sort of sad ‘ha I did that’ kind of way that it was.

Recently something reminded of it so I checked to see if it was still lurking about and then I come across this page. I was astounded that there was a mini discussion about something I did ages upon ages ago.

believe me or not, I just felt obliged to post because this shows how cool the internet is that a little scribble about a fake cheat I wrote a long time ago is still floating around somewhere and even better is that people are talking about.

Any questions or accusations post them here and I’ll try to answer them.
