Single Player First Person Shooter Maps and Mods for Half Life 1, 2 and 3
About

“Built for TWHL competition 21. I hope it complies with the rules. The map doesn’t have any particular story. It’s your typical detailed HL2 city with a slight combine theme. Performance isn’t meant to be great, so beware! NPC behaviour hasn’t been 100% tested due to lack of time.”

  1. A promising map, just the right size for a little slug-fest. So I installed it & started, and boy was I disappointed. The scenery is nicely detailed, but there are no weapons and no enemies; in fact, what you see in the pics is all there is, just a helicopter and a spy drone in a small corner of City 17. I deleted it wondering what the heck it was all about.

  2. I agree with the above to an extent. It is very detailed and very well put together. The map looks stellar and is an inspiration to throw a little more detail into the map that I’m working on. However, I did expect some killing or something. Seems more like a showcase to me…

  3. I stand corrected. If this one inspired you to do a better job on your map, then it’s gotta be worth something :)

Anyway, please let us know when yours is finished.

  4. In should have been clearer in my basic details section. In the psat I have added a link to the competition page but neglected to do it this time. For this I apologise. I have now added a link in the Related aprt.

This is HL2 mapping at its best.

Use Impulse 101 to give you weapons to shoot stuff with.

  6. Is there any think to shoot at?

    There’s a scanner and a helicopter and a…

OK, so there’s only two things to shoot at, but it’s still a fantastic looking map. (looks even nicer in SMOD)

  8. So, a whole load of things to shoot out then.
Explain ‘Looks even nicer in SMOD’ I have SMOD loaded in my Steam list. I will go and have a look at this one, you have talked me into it.

  9. Yes, it’s a nice piece of mapping just a shame there is nothing to do, other then wandering around admiring the industrial and apartment layout. Architecture and exterior designs are well done, but it’s hollow, with no inners and not even one door that will open.

The author should give the map to Leon and let them transfer the setting into a series of Combine ambushes with supporting scanners.

I wished I could map something that looks this good.

  10. Maybe?

    Just for a look around.

  11. great mapping but nothing to play with it’s sad to put so much effort without giving us something to play

  12. Well, it’s a reinterpretation of a Blue-Shift area. I don’t see how I could’ve added interesting gameplay at all, since framerates were quite low in my PC when I made it. However, I have borrowed some of the buildings for an upcoming HL2SP episode.

  13. Play It Now!

    beatiful design, good work
