If you like difficult combat, play this mod–at least for the beginning battle. For the rest of us, you probably can’t do it without cheating and it might not be worth it.

For some of these mods that I consider impossible, I’d like to see someone record how they did it and upload to youtube. (I believe when Jasper and Phil say it’s possible, I just don’t know how.) I don’t think I’ll ever be good enough to win the strider/gunship battle.

Phil, after knocking out the striders and gunship climb the ladder. See screen shot 14. After that you can enjoy beeing smacked around by an antlion guard then blasted by the combine.

A bit strange, quite hard but do-able without cheating. It was said above that the ending was bad – there isn’t an end!! Just nobody left to shoot – unless I missed something. Worth a play through.

Very very hard – GREAT. Ok PP is correct about the scenes after battling the striders and gunship. For me this opening battle was brilliant. Strategy required but winnable without cheating. No give aways from me mind!
I’ll be playing this again. HL2 FP FPS fanatics like me will love the opening battle.
Level design etc? Er, well, not so good.

Sorry but not only is this level really hard it’s also really stupid. The level design is basic and flawed and the gameplay gives the impression of a bunch of random enemies dropped into it.

I admit I had to cheat to get past the striders and gunship and I almost wish I hadn’t!
