Refuge in your apartment is no longer an option.

Black Death is a single-player Half-Life 2: Episode Two level that deviates from the original gameplay.

The new crossbow confuses enemies into attacking the victims rather than killing them. Outmanned, he must adapt to his new environment and find the balance between crowbar and crossbow.

Well, here it is. The entries from the CrossbowVille mapping Competition.

The objective was to create an interesting release that used the Crossbow as the main weapon.

The mod contains 3 entries, with varying styles.

Gordon Freeman must fight his way into the remote arctic prison, Angel Mogila. The level is a small area of roughly the same scope as a single area in a larger Half-Life 2 level. Consequently the module is a slice of what would be a larger level. This level features stealth gameplay using a custom designed night vision effect and custom AI controllers to enable stealth gameplay. The player can elect to rush the level at a higher margin of difficulty. Power Outage also features destroyable power transformers that knock out the lights in each section of the level.

Starting in an alley with just the gravity gun, you must use the environment to keep moving forward.

Life continues to put obstacles in your way, but with thought and perseverance they can be overcome.

Alyx and Dog await you in the Daylight.

You need to escape, but you also need to work together. Are you a team player?

Well, it’s time to find out.

Follow the on screen text and see the choices you make change the outcome, or at least the ease with which you play.

So, where did Freeman go?

After proving your skill and cunning by escaping the Black Mesa complex alive, you have been called on by a shadowy organisation – the Alien Counter-Insurgency Bureau – to help protect mankind from the threat posed by Xen.

Tonight, the A.C.I.B. has need of your special abilities to counter a new threat to civilisation. You have been given a rendez-vous in the warehouse district of the city to receive your mission briefing.

This is the continuation of DAV Train.

After reaching the Osprey you think that you are safe and going home but you don’t realize that you are being follow by an Apache helicopter.

Eventually he damages your Osprey and you crash, finding yourself on the run again…

Your objective is to reach the captive scientist and escape with him.

Of course, there are a lot of obstacles in your way.

At one point, stealth is required, otherwise your mission will be compromised.

Finding yourself falling through a vent, you need to work your way to a Combine portal.

This will provide the means for your escape.

Don’t rush through, as there are many twists and turns, plus caches to find. Good Luck!

Some scientists and security guards escaped the Black Mesa complex. Knowing the Administrator lived nearby in an outlying bunker complex, they decided to take him out. You only heard about their plans later and have to catch up to them. You also have the codes to access the Administrator’s complex. Contact with the scientists has been lost, it is now up to you.

As the name suggest, this mod takes place through the night.

You are taken through a variety of locations, within Black Mesa and beyond.

Can you escape the influence of that trouble making Gman?

So, this is another Russian mod, where you play somebody sent into a base to do soemthing!

Sorry for the vagueness but really, that’s how it is.

Do your best to survive and reach the escape helicopter.

You start off in your bedroom and a noise alerts you.

You are kidnapped and then forced to fight your way through the research facility.

Be careful, enemies are stronger and not everybody is as they seem.

You must go in and wreck up the place before it falls into the wrong hands!!

The story picks up where The Xeno Project left off.

After fighting your way across Xen and escaping in a rocket, you are captured and imprisoned aboard an Earth vessel full of grunts, lead by the our old friend the Gman.

The terraformation of Xen has begun. The planet now supports a breathable oxygen-nitrogen atmosphere and earth-like gravity. A scientific facility called the Xeno Project has been set up on the planet for continuing research into portal technology.
