You start as a worker on a fuel line, fixing some pipes, working on some kinks; you know that type of stuff. When the next thing you know, a rival company has hired a small ‘faction’ of troops to come in and collect the data from the mainframe(s). Your objective is to stop them using whatever means necessary! Even if it means destroying the mainframe! You can’t let this data leak!

The action takes place in the future on colonized planets.

Having found “UNUNPERIUM”, a mineral which can generate huge quantities of energy, a Terrestrial Feberadtion was found to find and extract this precious substance.

The Federation has sent the cruiser “Aranon” tto the planet Akada, where a group of terrorists have disrupted production.

Your objective is to investigate this disruption.

Author’s Note:“Mark 2 is a vague sequel to my Quake map Assassin, in that you play an assassin in both. In this one you’re off to kill several scientists (as everyone likes slapping scientists round the head with a crowbar). This level features an awful lot of puzzles, and it taught me that people either love or hate puzzles. Nobody thinks they’re just ok.”

You play as FBI agent Jeremy Hard, who has been sent in to Black Mesa to do something (sorry, but I didn’t pay much attention to the text on the screen).

You have Freeman’s identity card, so everybody thinks you are him.

Your name is Mark Hunt, an elite Marine sent in to ‘clean up’ the Black Mesa Incident. Near evening your platoon was ambushed by a superior force, taking you completely by surprise. You are Gordon Freeman. You have accepted work from the mysterious G-Man. You thought he was interested in giving you work as a special agent, to go on secret missions and save the world! Instead, he assigns you to an office, to work through mounds of paperwork.

A new device was developed to stop the alien invasion. That device can disturb transporter signals, so aliens can’t beam in to attack and it is the same for humans. That means no further research in XEN. The Administrator decided to cancel the project, but some scientists blocked all entrances to the Transporter Tesearch labs to continue their work. They finished construction, but were not able to activate it. Your mission is to find that device and activate it. It is located somewhere in the New Mesa Complex. Good luck!

Start in a lobby and explore the Black Mesa Research Facility.

Of course, you will find plenty of enemies and obstacles in your way, so move carefully and pay attention to the signs.

Only the smart and fearless will succeed!

As the name suggests, you go back to Black Mesa. It’s a sparse area with some Grunts and Vortigaunts.

There’s only 1 headcrab to be found in the whole mod, which is a good thing.

Gargs can be found in various places throughout the mod, no need to look too hard, it’s not as if you could miss them, is it?

You play as Gordon again and your objective is pretty much the same as the original game: escape the base.

You play a soldier working their way through the Black Mesa Research facility at the same time as Adrian Shepard.

Your objective it to find and return an energy source back to the scientists. The map is set in a Black Mesa style base.
