Refuge in your apartment is no longer an option.

It’s time to flee. But not quietly out the back, oh no!

Go out with all guns blazing.

Reach the port and you may finally find freedom.

You don’t know much at the beginning.

You can’t remember anything from your previous life or how you came into this cage of glass in which you have been living several weeks and in which these scientists have performed cruel experiments on you.

But what you know is: you want to get out and pay them back!

ETC finished with Freeman heading into the teleporter. Where it took him was not revealed.

So, where did Freeman go?

Somewhere far beneath the surface of one of the Earth’s Oceans lies a large complex known as The Challenger Deep.

In this complex, many scientific experiments take place on a daily basis. These experiments deal with intense anti-mass spectrometer radiation.

“The past is far away… The atmosphere of the earth is almost destroyed because of many terrorist chemical experiments. You’ve joined a group.. OBJECTIVE: Shut down or destroy terrorist chemical devices You were sent on a mission to take down the terrorist waste complex. But you were delayed! They put you in prison. You must find a way out of there fast before they eliminate you! Seek help. You may encounter some other dudes. But don’t shoot everything down, it might be friendly! We believe you can do it!”

You play in a room with Barney, Dog, Alyx, Father Grigori, a vortigaunt, a few citizens and the G-man. The room is just a box with a large image of Dr. Breen on the wall and a bunch of zombie trying to kill everything.

Another slow day at work… been slow all week now… so you decided to go home early. But as soon as you start to leave, the Combine start to break in. Entering the bosses office, you arm yourself with a pistol, and try to kill every combine you can, but they were coming in overwhelming numbers. You chose to get the hell out of there ASAP, only to be injured during the process and to find yourself hiding in a sewer. You wake up, wondering what just happened. As you get up from a blood stained mattress, you find more of your friends already dead. Grabbing a crowbar, you work your way through the sewer to find help. In The Sewer, you play the role of Malcolm, a rebel fighting for his life to get to safety.

A story of a modder making a mod sounds a little strange, but that’s what this mod is. However, you spend 95% of your time playing, so don’t worry it’s not just narration or a tutorial.

Please the scenarios you are given and see if you can make it into the sunset.

The mod is about a digger who is looking for an old shelter and on his search stumbles upon a secret base where everything has gone crazy. He soon realizes that he must destroy the base and the strange object that has caused all this trouble.

Starting in an underground prison cell, you need to fight your way to the surface.

Once there, you will find a train station and hopefully a train will lead you to your next encounter.

The final challenge is a Combine chopper, that won’t be easy to destroy.

You are Frank Harrison, a rebel, who lives near City 17.

You wake up and find that the Citadel looks like it is about to explode and those scientists are urging you to flee the city.

No need to tell you twice! Off you go and good luck – you’ll need it.

Like Zombies? Want to kill them and then “buy” upgrades? If you do then this could be the greatest map you play today!

Play in an arena with a number of areas, each with certain types of enemies. These enemies can chase you all over the place, so don’t relax.

Use your “cash” wisely to ensure the maximum amount of damage for the minimum amount of expenditure.

Your brother has been taken by combine and your mission to get your brother back.

Your brother is in the Resistance but you prefer a more concilitary approach.

Unfortunately your brother is arrested by the Combine and tortured until he revealed some rebel secrets.

Continue where Escape 1 finished. This time you get more rebel friends and even a rocket launcher!

That’s the good new. The bad news is that some of the mod is outside and it’s dark.

Watch out for those zombies!

After waking up in the rubbish, you realize you need to get across to the other side of town.

Apparently a plane awaits you that can take you to safety.

Work your way through the sreets and even some sewers, join with a few rebels and get to that plane!

CSS SCI FI 3: Hardwired is a single-player modification for Half-Life 2. Waking up to find himself an augmented clone of Gordon Freeman, the player must fight time-travelling Combine forces and other enemies across 42 unique and replayable missions.

Missions are set in 18 retail and 24 custom Counter-Strike: Source maps, which are installed intact to the player’s CS:S game folder. The mod edits the entity data for each map as it is loaded, adding and modifying entities to create a seamless single-player experience. The maps remain unchanged and are fully playable in Counter-Strike: Source. Maps have been contributed by established designers, including Bluestrike, Schuzak and d00ds.com. Combat locations range from a snow-covered country church to a dense pine forest to a sun-baked tropical island.

AT 30,000 FEET… you are almost 6 miles (9.7 kilometers) above sea level. The human body is not made for these conditions. Temperatures are can plummet to -60F (-51C), the brain is starved for oxygen and each step is a new experience in pure agony. It’s difficult to breathe. It’s difficult to think. It’s difficult to move. And you still have to endure another 444 feet (0.14 kilometers) to get to the peak. So much for the good news.

Are you brave enough to explore the G-Man’s mansion? In this slightly scary mod you have to work your way through a mansion looking for keys and fighting enemies. Expect some surprises and maybe a few hidden items.

Play in the dark with the lights out to get the best effect. Unless you are too scared. Want me to call your mommy?

This mod features some intense action scenes, but most of these come later on, much of the earlier parts of the mod are focused on adventure and storytelling.

A straightforward map where you objective is to clear the enemies. Plenty of exploding barrels and enough Combine to keep you busy for a while.
