The Forum

This guide discusses the forum and the difference between it and the main site.

AS with the main site the Forum does not require registration to use. I feel very strongly that interaction between readers should be as easy as possible.

There are a few things that non-registered users cannot do but not many things. They can do the important things: view, post, reply and search.

If you choose to register please note that the forum and main site use completely different software and the registration process is completely separate.

The Forum is separated into various section to ensure it’s easy to find what you are looking for. These sections should be self-explanatory.

The forum has its own help system which is clearly written and easy to use. However if you have any questions and can’t post them on the forum please use the comments system at the bottom of the page.

There seems to have been some confusion about why a forum is neccessary when users can post comments on the main site. Well, the main difference is that readers can create topics on the forum which they cannot do on the main site.

Another difference is that maps and mods can only be disccused on the main site to avoid splitting the discussion and useful information. If a mpa or mod is not lsited on the main site then readers can create new topics on the forum. I delete all threads that break this rule.

Images can easily be inserted into threads on the forum, which is another difference between the main site.
