
This is another Russian mod and consists of three episodes. You play as Stiv Wolker, the hero of the mod. The first epsiode takes you through the events of that ill-fated day at Black Mesa. The second and third are spent fighting the various Xen creatures and of course the clean-up army grunts. The mod contains new textures, sounds, sprays, models and sky.

I’ve just noticed what’s happened to GOT17′s comment. I will try and correct it but I don’t think I will be able to. Sorry! It must have happened with the database was updated from a prevoius version.

I am on it, I managed so far, without any understanding of russian.
What I can already say is that GOT17 got a wicked sense of humor
Some situations are downright nasty, but are feasable so far.
Use your ammo carefully, resupplies are rare (almost none from dead soldiers).

Good, but short. Some new models and doors and stuff. Nice puzzles. Basic half-life scenario. Lab blows up and you have to get out. I would have liked to see more of this.

There’s a ladder on the wall of the shaft, opposite the elevator doors, that you have to catch when you fall. It’s tricky. Ascertain the location of the ladder and, when you’re in the elevator, hug the wall above the ladder so you will fall toward it.
The mod is designed so that there’s really no way to get it right the first time.

I don’t see an elevator in map “map03_office” – do you mean the fire door with a keypad? You have to press the switch by the generator down the hall, defend yourself in the trap, and wait for the portal to open so you can get out. Then the cover on the keypad will be open.

The only item of note in map map13_dasak is the switch that when pressed gives the message DBEPb # 1 OTKP. I don’t know what the switch does or understand what it says. In the previous map there are two metal gates or gratings. You can swim under the first grating and break through the second somewhere in the middle of it with your crowbar. Swim to the open door, climb and jump on the ladders, and to the next map… you’re welcome.

I’m at the door with a keypad.. it asks for a number but none of my autosaves or quicksaves go before that text that showed up. So I have no idea what the codes are. Anyone can right them down, (And tell me what they are for)

Possibly one of the worst mods ever. It feels like a bunch of random places put together with a excuse for a storyline.
The level design, is all just mainly some random empty corridors, a small warehouse, a helicopter, another place that looks like the beginning of the mod- a sort of greyish russian base… and theres a small crypt that it did look decent with the candles and rocks on the floor.
The whole mod feels unprofessional like there was the barest amount of work put into everything and it all feels disconnected like the places where random. The grunts don’t drop machine guns, merely shotguns. Sometimes when a grunt accidentally blows up another into gibs, then you get the machine gun.. this is what I’m talking about.
Because they only consistently drop shotguns, thats the weapon of the mod.
The enemy encounters are mostly extremely lame, like those large fight scenes where enemies keep coming (teleporting in thin air with no teleport sound after you’ve just killed a few, with some lame music playing in the background), I’m not interested in something like that.
The headcrabs and zombies look good (and sound weird) but you can’t have a good mod with just that.
Mod just sort of ends on another random note, sad.
Its also in russian so prepare to not understand the conversation with gman.

Okay, another Russian mod, it seems there are all the same – crappy! If someone does know a very good HL1 SP mod from a Russion team, let me know please, honestly! There is or was a big Russian community about mapping like City17.ru but c’mon, there must be something awesome!?!
I refuse to give a detailed description about this one, simply because it’s not worth it.
Yes, it does have some good ideas but the flaws and bugs do easily overbalance them.
It began very interesting to me, but then I realised quick that this is just bad, sorry!
To make it short, here are the:
Pro’s:
-New or customized models, textures, weapons etc.; more hitpoints for headcrabs I think
-A quite good beginning but leading to a nightmare quick
-A few good puzzles at the start, then it’s just too obvious
-A few cutscenes, a few scripts (but not very special or nice)
-Different music from different sources (radio, background music, especially at some scripts)
-Useable turrets (one in an helicopter)
-Secret areas
-Long playtime (but who else except me wants to suffer until the credits appear??)
P.S. Often I use the term “great combat” here, but that’s consciously NOT written here, it would be a lie…
Con’s:
-Balancing, it began easy, then it was just a joke
-Illogical and often mean or just ridiculous enemy placement (in crates??) or just “more is less”-placement
-Often very bad lighting, mostly too dark (to bright at start in office area) and the tiny flashlight is no real help then
-Also often ugly textures, boring-looking maps etc., poor layout etc.
-Bugs (game crash, not triggering scripts, illogicalness etc.)
-Odd story, Russian voices, text, readme – not very international, but ok, they can keep this mod..
-Scripts that hurt seriously (unnecessary as there is less health anyway)
-Silly, hard jumps required
-No atmosphere at all times (except start)
-Long playtime, after the good beginning it was more than torture than fun, seriously!
-Guess there’s way more, but my memory is almost as crappy as this mod lol
Conclusion: Don’t you dare to play it! Even the good start doesn’t justify to install this PERIOD
P.S. “The Lost Hell” eh? YES!!! Get lost, go to hell! xD
