A fairly large chamber with lots of different levels that must be reach in a specific order.
All you really need to do is reach the top and open the vault door.
HA! Of course, it’s not that simple. Now, stop reading and get playing.

When Ross first sent me this map I was pleased that he had started mapping again. I was also curious as to what sort of puzzles would be presented. The great thing about this chamber, and I have to admit with all the P2 maps I have played so far, it didn’t contain any difficult jumps or timed portaling. Phew!
The puzzles are not actually that difficult but it took me a while to figure out how to get started. Once I did, it didn’t take long to reach the top.
I admit to being a little disappointed in how you get into the actual vault, because I was expecting one more portal and jump, but it is not needed.
Ross has used the voice of Wheatley very well, but sometimes if you do things faster than expected they overlap. I encountered one minor bug related to the moving platform on the ground floor, in that when I started from a save there the platform was vertical but I was suspended above the water.
All in all a great effort and a fun chamber to play.

/!\ Additional information /!\
The mapname has a space in it , that means executing
map the vault
will give you a error that the.bsp is missing or corrupt.
To correctly launch the map you have to put its name into commas
map “the vault”
wich will make the engine count the empty blank space as just a space in a complete name.

Very nice map. The only issue I encountered was that I solved the initial turret problem a different way (partially, at least) when I started this map and I didn’t realize it was also destroying my cube. This made the rest of the map impossible to solve despite many attempts. It was only when I went to the author’s site and watched the video that I saw what was happening. There needs to be some kind of respawn of your vital resources in a case like this. Besides this point it was well constructed and made great use of the Wheatley voice.

Ross had created a very fun and well thought out map. The combination of many elements into a single, large room gives the map a great look, and makes the map difficult, but solvable. Clearly a lot of time has been taken to stop certain elements from being used in puzzles where they were not intended to be used. One issue I had was the ability to destroy the cube, which caused me to get stuck for a while, until I had to load an earlier save. Apart from that, it was a great map, and deserves its rating.

Very good map. I liked the initial overweening feeling the room gives, but you start to piece it out as you go. The wheatly banter sets it apart from other silent maps. Also the way you unlock more and more of the room is very clever. Only complaint was it wasn’t very apparent when
Left me questing if I messed something up part way thru the level.
