Veikko Complex – Half-Life 2

Single Player First Person Shooter Maps and Mods for Half Life 1, 2 and 3
About

A couple of single player Half-Life 2 maps. The setting is industrial without a Combine soldier in sight, you get Headcrads and Zombies, though! There’s only a few weapons and very little ammo.

Considering I don’t like Zombies, Headcrabs (Regular, fast or poisonous) I quite enojyed these maps. I spent most of the time with less than 20 health partly because there’s very little, if any available and partly because I’m crap!

I only found one bug and that was by jumping along a wall looking for secrets! One part of the level became quite slow but I presume that it was my system rather than a serious performance issue. I can’t really comment on any other technical aspect becasue I don’t know anything about it.

I didn’t feel much accomplishment in finishing the maps and there is no real ending. I like shooting at moving stuff, so these maps were always going to struggle to provide me with what I like. As part of a larger situation with a few soldiers I might have ahad a good time.

These are the types of maps I would enjoy taking apart and trying to make them better. That doesn’t me they are bad I just want to customize them!

For this one you need to pass through the veikko complex originally made with a well thaught architecture. Progression is linear and enhance by the small amount of ammo and health. Quite enjoyable . Major critics goes to the lack of sounds, music and puzzles and to the ending whish is a little abrupt.

    Play It Now!

I liked this one. Good mapping and interesting architecture. It’s just a shame it’s only two maps worth.

I had a few crashes when I tried to open locked doors though it might just be my system.

    Think Twice

If you like to spend your time smacking zombies and head crabs with a tyre lever then this is the game for you. Playing in EP2 recommended so that at least you get the long life rapid recharge torch,
There are now far too many maps with just the denizens of Ravenholme. I’ll not be playing them any more and I’ll bet I’m not alone.
