WOW, Episode 2 ROCKS!

Single Player First Person Shooter Maps and Mods for Half-Life 1, 2 and Episodes 1, 2 and 3

I haven’t updated PlanetPhillip for a while with any new maps and mods because I have been playing Episode 2. Yes, you heard that right and those of you with good memories will be eager to point my statement in my Episodic Content Rant where I said “I’m not going to buy it until the third part is released.”.

So, why did I buy and play it? Well, one reason is that there have been a couple of mods released for Episode 2 (I still have to add them, so don’t ask). It wouldn’t be impossible to add them without playing them but it would be frustrating.

I still stand by what I said and episodes, so that hasn’t changed. But this post isn’t about that, it’s about the game itself.

Let me be very clear about this. Episode 2 ROCKS!. In many ways it’s better than Half-Life 2 and without doubt better than Episode 1. I am not going spoil the game or even review it. I just want to be another voice telling you to buy it now.

If I find time I will try and write a review, although there are plenty of those already, maybe I’ll even post a bunch of screenshots and gameplay videos. However, with or without those things if you think of yourself as a HL fan and have some spare cash, then either logon to Steam of visit you local game retailer and buy it.
