Mine’s bigger than yours. There I said it. Let the contradictions begin….
Oh wait, maybe you thought I mean something else. Silly me. My collection of unplayed SP FPS games is bigger than yours. There, that’s better

“Guess what? Gordon got himself another job! And once more it’s a high Tech low profile kind of thing at another secret location somewhere in the Arizona desert. Some people just never learn, do they? Unfortunately, Gordon’s old army buddies got wind of his new job and following the saying “if at first you don’t succeed, try, try again”, have decided to do everything in their power to make Gordon’s first day at work a very very VERY bad one. As I said before, some people just never learn…”
You find yourself in a large cell. Time to break out me thinks!
Then, work your way through the prison complex and eliminate anybody that stands in your way.
Smart works more than run and gun in this place, so look around, you never know what you might see.
You find yourself on a spaceship, which seems to be researching Xen lifeforms.
Follow the clues to a spot on the ship and then ignore the sign.
At this point things turn fun!
Are you fast and smart enough to escape? Only time will tell….
“Hope you are enjoying your short rest, Mr Freeman. I trust the new apartment is to your liking. Please do not try to escape again, we are watching you.
We have received information that a squad of maverick soldiers at a military base near your previous place of employment has a small number of Xen specimens’ capture and are planning to go public with them, we cannot allow this to happen.”
There is no story or background to this 14 map collection and there levels are a quite repetitive.
The action is relentless and the difficulty ever increasing.
Can you reach Xen and the special portal?
Starting in the kitchen you need to kill everything you find and then look for the secret button to release the floor doors and enter the underground area.
That’s all there is: no story, just an excuse to shoot stuff.
Sounds fun to me!
Art mods, Alt mods, Creative mods call them what you will, they have become more popular recently.
Whilst I am not a big fan of them, I recognise and applaud the creativity involved.
Using game engines for things other than gaming is certainly not new and and the more we explore possible uses the more interesting things get.

Made for a Russian forum mapping competition, this map puts you back in Black Mesa.
You need to find your way to the army truck that can be driven to safety.
Of course, plenty of enemies and obstacles stand (and run) in your way.
Only the strong will survive. Good Luck!
You find yourself outside a building and you seemed to have swapped your scientist status for a shotgun and “Sargeant” tag.
Explore the building, if you dare, and ignore the strange visions. Chasing the ghost scientist might not always bring dividends though.
An old friend brings your nightmare to a close.
